Precision optics manufacturer Cosmo Optics, received the Excellence in Small Business Award for 2015 presented by Keybank this past week.
Cosmo Optics a custom manufacturer of high precision optical components and assemblies was chosen for its award based on its successful growth in sales, employees, and business size. The company, which moved from Middletown to Albany, New York in 2015 has helped give local residents jobs and a positive outlook for the future.
Brain Sebastian the current president and owner of Cosmo Optics accepted the award on Monday this past week at the Marriott hotel in Albany. Without his leadership Cosmo Optics would not have seen as much innovation and growth in the last few years.
Cosmo Optics works with various companies around the world which includes those in the aerospace, ariel photography, university, medical device, security, defense, robotic, and laser industry’s. Many of the products manufactured at Cosmo Optics have a huge positive impact on society. For example, many medical devices that make things like laser heart surgery possible are made from parts manufactured by Cosmo Optics.
